Title: Convex Optimization in Aerospace Guidance and Control

Abstract: Over the last decade convex optimization has found tremendous growth in aerospace guidance and control applications. This presentation will review the key traits of convex optimization, highlight the reasons for its growing popularity, point to some on-going research on numerical methods in the area, and identify remaining challenges. The presentation will include examples and demonstration by the speaker’s own research.
