Prof. Guangjun Liu
Title: Development of Enabling Techniques for Space Robotics
Professor Guangjun Liu received B.E. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, in 1984, M.E. degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang Institute of Automation, in 1987, and Ph.D. degree from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 1996. He is a Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Ryerson University, Toronto and Canada Research Chair in Control Systems and Robotics (2006-2016). He was a Systems Engineer and a Design Lead for Honeywell on the Boeing X-32 program from 1997 to 1999. During 1996, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA. He has authored or coauthored over 200 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests are in the areas of control systems and robotics. Dr. Liu serves on the editorial board of Robotica and also served as a Technical Editor of the IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. Dr. Liu is a licensed professional engineering of Ontario, Canada.
