Speech Title:  Embedded Video Acquisition and Processing

Abstract:

The talk addresses acquisition and processing of image / video data applicable in embedded environment and, therefore, also in aerial vehicles, such as drones. The talk focuses modern trends in video acquisition, such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) acquisition, enabling processing of images in severe lighting conditions, and Multispectral acquisition, enabling better understanding and analysis of Information in visible light range and beyond. Modern trends using advances technologies, such as embedded video processing accelerators or programmable hardware based systems are addressed as well. The talk will also mention possible novel applications of modern video processing in conjunction with aerial vehicles.
